Day 1: Using Food as Medicine



You have 2 options today - you can choose one or both, depending on accessibility and how much you want to try out...  

Option 1 :: WILD FORAGING  

If you’re lucky enough to live near nature, gather a group of friends or family and head to the woods to harvest your native berries, herbs, or other wild foods to enjoy in your area. This can be as simple as checking out what’s in your back or front yard, or the nearest park!  

There are even groups on Meetup and Facebook that you can join. Communing with nature in this way deepens your connection and amplifies the medicine from the natural + wild food you’ll be eating!  



Attuning to how foods make you feel - experiment with eating various fruits, herbs, and vegetables that are new to your palette. You can simply choose 1-2 foods mentioned above that you’ll incorporate for the week, then keep a journal & record how that food makes you feel - not just physically, but emotionally and mentally as well, in order to cultivate a deeper sense of what is healthy for your body.  

Note: I intentionally did not include what these various foods do or provide because I want you to try it the food first, then notice how it makes you feel. Afterward, you can do a little research on the food and see how it correlates with your experience!
