Felicia Cocotzin Ruiz (Tewa/Xicana) is a curandera, indigenous foods activist, and natural foods chef whose work is deeply rooted in the healing properties of all earth medicines. 

In this episode, we’re speaking on the topic of postpartum wellness, specifically la cuarentena - the period of postpartum recovery roughly 40 days of healing after childbirth. There is a version of the cuarentena in many cultures and Felicia shares her personal experience with the “4th trimester,” how she weaves in Ayurveda with Traditional Mexican knowledge, plus practical tips Felicia recommends for amplifying healing and setting yourself up for the most nourishing postpartum possible.
