In this episode, we’re speaking with Langston Kahn, a shamanic practitioner and teacher specializing in radical human transformation, ancestral healing and the restoration of an authentic relationship with our emotions. Langston is the author of Deep Liberation: Shamanic Teachings for Reclaiming Wholeness in a Culture of Trauma.

In this interview Langston shares how he came into his shamanic path and breaks down the concept of “shamanism.” We talk about why rediscovering the body and “the felt sense” is a critical aspect in this process of what Langston calls Deep Liberation. Langston guides us in unlocking the deep mind and exploring the wilderness of our inner landscape, the difference between our ego / analytical mind and deep mind, and how to begin to commune and be present with the various parts of oneself so that we can heal deep wounds.

Langston shares the concept of the truth cord, why in shamanism beliefs aren't as important as taking action, and unlocking the power that is held in our triggers. We discuss how to begin to engage with your spirit helpers and guides for deeper support, and the importance of community as it relates to our Deep Liberation.

Langston also shares his heartfelt prayer for his book and what is currently feeding his wild.
